Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Cairo
Arrive at Cairo airport and transfer to hotel. Meet tour coordinator for welcome briefing. Overnight: Cairo
Day 2: Cairo Tour – Sleeper Train (B , D)
After breakfast, begin full day sightseeing tour of Cairo. First visit Giza Plateau, located in the west bank of Nile, facing Cairo. Cheops, Chepren and Mycerinus are the three pyramids we will see in this plateau and their guardian Sphinx, the lion body human head mythical statue. Later visit the world famous Egyptian Museum. The museum that houses the largest Egyptian collection with more than 250.000 antiques extending over the past 5000 years. After tour we will be transferred to train station to take the sleeper train to Aswan. Departure time around 8 pm. Overnight: Sleeper Train
Day 3: Aswan – Nile Cruise (B, L, D)
Upon arrival we will be guided to embark to Nile Cruise ship and have lunch on board. Afternoon Felluca sailing. Overnight: Nile Cruise / Aswan
Day 4: Aswan- Komombo – Edfu (B, L, D)
Today we will visit the remarkable Aswan Dam, considered as one of the outstanding architectural achievements of the 20th Century. Then we will visit the Philae Temple, which was dedicated to goddess Isis. We’ll sail to Kom Ombo to visit the temple that was built in Ptolemaic Roman era for the worship of god Haroeris and Sobek, the crocodile god. Dinner and overnight in Edfu. Overnight: Nile Cruise / Edfu
Day 5: Edfu – Esna- Luxor (B ,L, D)
Today we will visit the Edfu Temple, located in the west bank of Nile, dedicated to god Horus, the falcon god. Then we will sail to Esna, cross the lock and then to Luxor. Overnight: Nile Ship / Luxor.
Day 6: Luxor- Cairo (B)
After breakfast we will begin our tour in the enchanted Luxor, considered the greatest open air museum in the world. In the morning visit the West bank - Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch break we will cross to the eastern bank of Nile to see the temples of Karnak and Luxor. Luxor temple was built for the worship of god Amon Ra. Karnak temples include several temples and begins with the spectacular avenue of Rams. At the end of the day transfer to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight: Cairo .
Day 7: Cairo - Departure (B)
Transfer to Cairo airport for flight back home. Thank you for visiting Egypt!
